How It Works

A typical length of stay for a client ranges from 12-18 months, but a client’s actual program duration is determined in the screening process and can change based on the individual’s performance. Once accepted, a resident first completes 30 days on property acclimating to the program guidelines and environment, learning about the disease of addiction and receiving one-on-one counseling.

A resident is then required to begin working in the local community to take personal responsibility for paying his program fees.  ESR works with business owners to connect our clients with jobs. This is sometimes a difficult transition, especially for men who have not worked a regular job in a while, but part of the purpose of this program is to help our clients live life on life’s terms while staying drug free.

The men go to work during the day and participate in recovery and faith-based meetings in the evenings and weekends. The residents also have reading and journaling assignments that they do on their own as well as connecting with a sponsor in the recovery community. The men are responsible for working together to complete chores, prepare meals, and maintain a recovery family-focused environment.
